I have a set for a 94 RM 250, are they new enough?

I have a set of '01 CR250 forks. Have the clamps as well. Not sure if RM wheel will work, but I have the CR one.

I believe theyneed to be from an 00 or newer. I'm wanting to put them on my 01 DRZ400E.
i'll double check, and let you know.

mxwiz, is the front end off your 94 complete, brakes, wheel, triple claimps, ? Are these the conventional set 45 or 46mm ? You can email me at:

Thanks

Might just be me, but I heard that RM USD forks don't work on the DRZ. You need to have custom triple clamps made. Makes the steering angle all haywire if you use the RM clamps.

Correct, thats why I'm loking for _just_ the fork legs.

Ammomac,
How are you going to fit "just the fork legs" to your DRZ? The USD Rm forks will have a larger diameter where they clamp in than your conventionals, so you'll need different triple clamps just to fit the forks legs. The '96-'98 RMs ran conventionals, which are very similar to those used on the DRZ. These may be a direct bolt on, but a revalve of your existing forks would probably give similar results for less money. I think it would be a good idea to check with a suspension tuner to see what can be done with the DRZ forks before you ditch them.

teton,
all I have are the tubes and bottom clamp with the streering stem and bearings. No guards, axle, front wheel, or brakes.
They are also USD not conventional.

After market triples

I read an article in a dirt bike mag that turned a DRZ into a DRX by installing USD forks. They had to have the clamps custom made. I don't remember the company that made them though. I could find out the company if you want me to.
