Tech 9's??

I currently have Alpinestar Tech 5's, and have never liked them. Ordered them from a catalog and they just never fit right.
Anyways...., I'm looking at new boots for next season. I was about to purchase 2001 Tech 8's, when I was informed that for 2002 Alpinestars may offer Tech 9's, and discontinue Tech 8's.
Anyone here this as well??? Think I'll wait awhile. If nothing else, they might discount remaining Tech 8 stock.
