I can't find where to put the nitrogen on my Öhlin's shock. The bottom of the resevoir just has a flat plate with a phillips head screw in it. Do I need a special part, or is the valve under this flat plate?

yes you need to remove the screw and then you need a needle attachment that you can but from motion pro.

I think Jeremy's forum might provide you with more info.

Thanks for moving this Patman, I wasn't really sure where to post. Marcus, can you describe this needle attachment a little better?
Posted by: marcusgunby---------------------
It is just like a medical needle ith a plumbing attachment to rig it up to your normal N2 supply-cheap to buy BTW.

So is this anything like using a needle with a football or basketball? I realize this is probably a crude analogy, but from what you've said, that's the picture I've got in my head. What's the name of this part? I checked motion pro's site, but couldn't find anything.

Yes , but the hole is axially located at the tip, not on the sides near the end like a ball inflater. Use a ball inflater and you run the risk of damaging the seal.

The needle used is a real needle. The best place to get the tool is from ohlins USA located in hendersonville nc. or bsr products located in charlotte nc.
I also happen to have some used ones laying around, send me an e-mail & I will give you my number.
If you buy a new one, don't get any spare needles with it. Go to your local vet and buy some there, you will save a bunch of money.

You can also look in the tool section of the White Bros. catalog. Make sure to replace the needle when/if it gets dull. The rubber seal can be pushed in to where you would have to re-seal it.
