The 4th annual WUDI is happening towards the end of February.

Here is information about the upcoming ride.

I've ridden with Jim Cook of Smackover Motorsports twice...here in SC and in Colorado. He is definitely the kind of riding buddy you wish lived closer to you.

That reminds me...I never did get to see the helmet cam footage I took with his camera! Somebody go to the ride, tie him up, and tickle him until he surrenders it!

Most Respectful High Lord Gomer,

Please don't blame Jim Cook for not getting you the helmet cam footage. That was my helmet cam and I really liked your riding... especially the big jumps when you looked over to the crowd and gave them the thumbs up! He gave me the tape and I failed to make copies. I still have it and can make you a VHS copy no problem. Would you like some background music added?

I have a new helmet cam that is lighter so you don't feel like you have a coke can on the side of your head. Better resolution, too.

Every year something has come up to prevent my participation in the WARM WUDI but I have hopes for this year! I'll bring both helmet-cams and some others so we can document the fun.

By the way, I was in Brainerd, MN, on work just before Christmas. Man, that place (MN, WI, UP of MI) has to be great in the summer! Sounds like plenty of trails to ride. We need to reciprocate with our "northern brethren" for some trail riding in their neck of the woods during the hot and humid summer months down here.

I promise to get you the footage of your ride. Hope to see you in Breezy Hill.

Todd

Gopher and I will be at the WUDI also. I'd love to try out the helmet cam as I'm used to following him pretty close and some of those trails would really look great at speed. Plus I hardly ever fall down

Posted by: High Lord Gomer---------------------

Oh yes, please email me your address so I can send you a tape!

I still won't be able to get back on a bike by then, but I hope to make one of the WUDI rides sometime. Give Jim and Deb a hug for me!

Hug Jim Cook? You gotta be nuts. Deb is no problem. I have known her since we were both in elementary school. Our fathers were best friends and I learned to fly in her family's J-3 Cub.

As for Jim Cook, do you know any finer human being (with or without hugs)? I have never known anybody more helpful and friendly. Although I have only known him five or six years, I felt like I had known him a lifetime within 15 minutes of our introduction. If we ever give an award for the greatest PR person for our sport, I nominate Jim. He is so much of what is great about dirt bikes.

I'll send you a private message. If not, I'll get your address from the Cook's at Smackover Motorsports (shameless plug, forgive me).

You say that like it's a bad thing?

Oooh, I'm gonna tell her you said that!

Isn't Jim still there? (Think that'll geta response out of him?)

Me too! Jim exemplifies the best of dirtbikers. He always rides with a smile and does whatever he can to help anyone he can.

Hey, has anybody heard from Jeb? I've tried his PM, but it is full. I've got some info for him regarding White Rock.

It looks as if we are coming down for Saturday, racing @ Lebanon on Sunday, then who knows. If bike and body are still in one piece, we may ride White Rock on Monday.

PM doesn't work well for me. It's empty according to my view but no one can send me PM's. Thanks for your email, Wade.

Check the website for up to date information. The ride is only 3 weeks away. Come one, come all.
