Is there any difference between the E/ and the M/ front forks on the 02 KTM RFS? I am getting different answers from different people.
Also is the valving different from the 2 stroke to 4 stroke versoins E/'s & M/'s?
Thanks

No diifferences.
Think about it. KTM is the master of utilization. 14 different bikes (models) in 1 frame? 8 models, one basic engine? Truly amazing.
They do it well don't they? I really do mean it the do it WELL!!

Yes they are an efficient user of engineering and manufacturing assets! If this is so, why are the bikes & parts so damn expensive
The question still is: are the forks *valving* the same for the E/ & M/ RFS? (i.e. The SX RFS has the 48mm legs as opposed to 43mm on the E/ & M/)
I am ordering a bike and need to know a couple of things before I lay down the big bucks...

Jeremy just got back from WP plant, so I am sure he knows My answer is still the same NO differences. The valving is the same in the exc & mxc, as are the springs.
Everything on the SX 48mm's are completely different, except the name.

Thanks St. Rick - That is what I had thought but have had 2 people tell me that the M/XC was a stiffer setup, similar to the SX.
The choice I am trying to make is between the 400 M/ & E/. This narrows it down to tank size, lights and trans ratio. I want the increased tank size but don't need the lights or close ratio. The E/ seems to be the answer & maybe I'll try to buy a tank from one of the guys here.
Thanks again.
