Jetting w/ FMF pipe questions

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have a FMF Gnarly Woods Pipe and Turbine Core II silencer on my 2001 KDX200. I modded the airbox by removing the snorkel and cutting out a larger area around the snorkel hole.

To this point I am still running the stock jetting (which I believe is a 48 pilot, R1174K needle in middle clip position, and 160 main...?). What are most of you running with the same setup (pilot, needle clip position, and main)? I have seen advice to go to a 45 pilot. Are any of you doing this? What about the needle clip position?

I ride at 1700 feet elevation and the temp is around 40 average here right now. I ride in single-track woods and usually don't really get into the throttle heavily for extended periods of time, so I'm most concerned with jetting below 1/2 throttle.

Thanks for any advice!

You need to be sensitive to how you feel it performs. You may not need to do much now because of the temps.

I can tell you this, I have a 220 with a bored RB 36MM carb and I'm starting out with a 42 pilot, CEK#4 and 152 main with a rev pipe/TC II. This is probably a bit rich if you can believe that but I have no idea how this compares to your carb on a 200. I expect that you are still a bit rich .

Have you checked out the jetting information on the Just KDX website???

FOR YOUR AREA THIS TIME OF YEAR A 45 PILOT AND 155
MAIN WITH THE NEEDLE EITHER IN THE CENTER OR IT
MAY RUN BETTER IN THE SECOUND CLIP POSITION
