Anyone interested in heading out there Sunday? I'll be on time, I promise!

Lookin at the weather forcast, should be a little moist and greasy Sun. I hope to have my forks back from Aftershocks by then, also could take Xr. So put me on the list as a possible candidate.

I'm keeping an eye on the weather as well, but unless it's a monsoon I'll be going.
All are welcome! Any more takers?

Got the 300 reassembled, seeya at Little Stony 8:30ish, tomorow. I'll either be in my green Silverado or be carpooling in DougM's luxury liner-white F350 with shell and bike trailer.

Hey MR.WR, slickpuss sorry you couldn't make it. Was a good day. Got off to a slow start when it took 2 hours of kicking/pushing/pulling/tipping, changing plugs, draining fuel from the carb on my scoot to discover that the reason no smoke was coming out is that the float bowl had filled with pre-mix oil, and there wasn't enough fuel getting though to light things off. Another lesson learned, and one for the race-bench
.Once the problem was discovered though, 2 kicks got her lit ...
and we were off! I have to give props to fremontguy & DougM for their patience & help with all of the kicking/pushing/pulling/tipping. A couple of real champions!
Trail conditions were good and varied. The riding was great. The weather cooperated. Though we did get snowed on briefly. Over all, we had a grand old time!

52 fun filled miles at Stonyford. Turned out to be a fair weather day with small amout of riders on mountain. Gonna be even more fun when all that snow on the upper mountain melts. Suspension and brakes performed good on my 300e. Thanks for posting ride Jim.

How much of an impact did the fire have up there? Are there erosion problems?
Posted by: Jimmy!---------------------
The trails didn't suffer much, it's really just the area around Fouts Springs/Davis Flat that got torched. The campgrounds are pretty ugly. The access trail that goes up to 30 from Davis is closed as is the little trail that loops off of it(don't recall the # right now). to get up to that ridge from Davis you have to go up 38?(need to check the map on that one) or 40. That can be a fun one!
