Cracked tanks

It seems that the only bikes having problems with the cracked tanks are the 220's. Any of the 200 tanks out there cracking? Aren't the two tanks the same?Thanks for the replies.

The 200's crack also. Mine did. Same as 220.

I have a 97 220 with a cracked tank also. Is there a repair for them. short of a new one

I have had pretty good luck by just filling in the cracks with silicone, but maybe the cracks in mine arent as bad as your tank. Been running like that for about 1 1/2 years with no problems at all.

The 175 tanks crack at the front mounting brackets and along the detail line at the bottom edge. Kawasaki seems to put their junior engineers on tanks. They build a pretty darn good bike in the KDX, so guess there has to be a weak link somewhere, but I'd have rather seen it in something like frame paint or lever boots (well ... come to think about it, those aren't that good either). Never mind!
