The removal of the railroad tracks across the Province of Newfoundland has resulted in the creation of a "multi use trail". From the town of Port Au Basque to the city of St Johns is approx 900 km's (around 550 miles) through some really rugged and beautiful country.....my question is has anybody done the trip...how was the trail...how lond did it take..parts that I have seen look really nice but I am wondering about the condition of bridges that the RR used to maintain ...are they still there...what about side trails....

... ride the RR track that is. We were there a couple of years ago, staying in a small cabin with those tracks right behind us, all hours of the night you could hear machines running that trail. I saw all kinds of 4x4's on that trail but, I don't think I ever saw any bike's other than an old XR75 I saw. People told me you can ride for miles on that track. I wish I could have explored it a bit.
