Has anyone ever tried putting a WR250F muffler on a YZ250F?
If so what effects did it have ? The reason for asking is I would like to put the WR muffler on when I ride an enduros.:think

Mike, I just placed a WR muffler on my YZ250f (Thanks Sarge!) and as far as I can tell, it runs BETTER than the original pipe. Power seems to come on a little sooner and still revs to the moon. Couple of pounds heavier. Just as loud with the baffle out. I gotta wear earplugs when I ride!
Runs really wierd with the baffle inserted.
Speaking of the WR baffle, has anyone had good results drilling holes? To get the power back a little?

I've got a vortip in my bike. It has 3 tubes of different lengths& diameters. The outlet has a short piece of flat steel, twisted about 90*(the vortex part) and a turned down tail pipe. It is very quiet. I felt a funny flutter or almost a miss at 1/4-1/2 throttle which was not there running no insert, so I removed the tubes, tack welded the twisty part so it would not rattle and tried it again. It run much better at 1/4 on up,the only drawback is that it got louder. If you're not on it hard ,it's not bad at all, but wfo it has a little bark. Overall I'd say just a bit louder than the airbox howl.(no lid)Baja designs sells them and you can get a look at it on their site. For the money it quiets the bike and runs almost as well as no insert
