can any one help with the reccomended pre mix ratios for a 93 e-4 kdx200 ? any help welcomed, she smokin like a gud un !!

32:1-40:1 seem like good ratios to go with, I would mix 40:1 if your using a high quality synthetic oil. If you bike is smoking alot then I suggest repacking your silencer.

I have a 1992 kdx200. 44:1 seems to be the best. People run anywhere from 32:1 to 50:1. The higher the ratio the more precise your jetting must be. You dont want too lean and lock it up. Post all your specs and any troubles and you will get lots of resoponces. Specs as in: jetting, pipe, reed valves, carb size, etc. PS two strokes are gonna smoke. Get use to it. Mine smokes two packs a day, hehe, until she's warmed up then she just puffs a little when I twist it hard.

Yes 2-strokes love to smoke (especially on cold mornings). After you ride it for a few minutes the amount of smoke should reduce to a light mist of smoke. If it still smokes like a beast then your silencer packing could be spooged up.

I don't know about new silencer packing getting rid of excess smoke but if you're puffing billows of white clouds out on the track and you're running at 40:1 the problem could be a bad clutch side crank seal. Trans oil may be getting pulled in to the crankcase and burning off in the cylinder. A sure cause of smog!! Not that I want to alarm anyone.
Check the color of your plug and compare it with one of the many plug charts that you usually find in Clymers or one of the other repair manuals. Eric Gorr also has an excellent book that covers just about anything you want to know about bike repair.
