inverted forks for a 95 and up KDX

I have access to a rolling frame from a YZ 400 complete with front end including brake assembly abandoned by a quad racer who only took the motor. Is it possible to use the forks on my 96 KDX. Would the tripple tree make the swap or would I need to go with a new tree. Here is a good set of shocks just waiting to be used.

You'll need the whole front end, triple clamps, wheel, breaks ect. Chances are good it won't just slip into place. You'll likely need to either swap the steering stem from the KDX to the YZ front end, have the YZ steering stem machined or have a new steam machined. You won't know until you get started and do some measuring.
Installing YZ front fork will also raise the front end of the bike some. You'll need to compensate for this. Some people change the shock's pull rods to raise the rear end, some shorten the forks travel . . . there's a number of things you can do.
Good luck and let us know how it worked out.
Sage will be writing up an article for the JustKDX web site and supplying some pictures outlining what was involved in installing a KX front end on his KDX. Watch for it.
