Carbon Tech reeds

Would Carbon Tech reeds help my 125exc in tight stuff. It isn't really hard to ride it in tight stuff but I wouldn't mind making it a little easier to ride.I don't use the 5th and 6th gear a lot so i'm not worried about losing top-end power. Thanks for any replies.

Depending on what type of reed 'flavor' you choose. C-tech makes a couple of different reeds for different rpm bands. I've had very good results with using their low-mid and upper rpm reeds. Currently, i use one of each on an intake of my own design.

but , yes, you'll notice a difference right away if you put the low-mid reeds in your oem cage.

thanks for the help

I like the CT reeds as well. Shifter...what do you mean your own cage? and wouldn't jetting be really tough with one of each type of reed on the cage? being as the amount of fuel/air would never be consistent at RPM's. and wouldnt the low tension reed wear out super fast and cause to a possible break and engine failure? just questions.........

I made an intake (straight) - and used a slightly modified oem reed cage with the reed stops at 11 mm tip height - sorry about the confusion. the jetting isn't an issue, as you may have thought. The karts are operating in a different environment, and with smoother throttle and brake transitions. I will run a matched set of reeds depending on A) the race track i'm at, B) the track conditions and traction available and C) the weather.
