Thoughts on KLR250?

I am getting ready to get my wife a bike and trying to decide between an XR200 and a KLR250. I am pretty familiar with the XR200, but haven't heard from anyone with a KLR250.
My wife wants a light 4-stroke bike (declined both xr400 and klx300) and doesn't need too much power, as most of her riding is around camp or following the kids around the desert or coming to rescue me.
Thanks for any info you can share.

KLR is 258 pounds dry and is $4149; XR is 223 pounds dry and is $3299. Yamaha XT225 is 238 pounds dry and is $3999; TTR225 is 259 pounds dry and is $2999. I would go for the XR it is the lightest and not a bad price compared to the KLR, I got these weights from their websites, I wouldn?t believe that the weight of the XT is correct
