WR250F on a MX Track

I can't seem to find a 2002 YZ250F, has anyone run a WR on a MX track?

I think the WR would make a fine MX bike, but you would never be satisfied with it considering in your heart you prob want the YZ. You would have to do things like stiffer springs front/rear, toss the lights, lose the kick stand, and YZ timing of course.
I would look over on ebay for something in your area, and keep an eye out in your local papers. You can also get a great deal on a new 2001, if you can find one. Good luck.

Mike have you checked in Jackson at Holiday's or down at Town and Country i have seen a few on the floors of the local dealerships.

I have a 2001 WR250F and a 2002 YZ250F, for motocross stick with the YZ
you would not believe the difference in everything.

so you own both? A yz and a wr. just what arethe differences, I would like tobuy a bike to ride woods but an occassional mx race withny kids

I have a 2002 Wr 250, the only suspension difference between the WR and the YZ is that the Wr has slightly different dampning. Also, it has to contend with the extra weight making it seem softer. Lose the light and go Moto!
