RM_Dude:

I got a pair of CTI braces after having knee surgery this summer. Unfortunately, I found out 10 minutes into my first ride that my knees still can't take the impact from landings - so I have to wrap them with Ace bandages. Because the braces are a custom fit, I can't wear them with the wraps.

These braces aren't just like new - they are new and unused. I'd be willing to part with them for $300 and I'll pick up the shipping cost.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll take some measurements around my knee and above and below. The most critical measurement is around the center of the knee - as the braces fit without much tolerance at that point. The points above and below the knee aren't as critical because the straps are adjustable.

I can also email pics.

'00kx250spode,

You have the CTi2 braces correct? I may very well be interested in those. If you wouldn't mind getting those measurements I would appreciate it. If they will fit I'll probably take them.

-thanks

Yes, they're the CTi2 braces. I'll post the measurements tonight.

Okay, here are my leg measurements ...

Around center of knee: 14 3/4 inches. There are pads of different thicknesses to get the fit around the knee just right and I have to use the thinnest one. Your center-of-knee measurement should be between 14 3/8 and 14 3/4.

7 3/16 inches above center of knee: 21 inches. This measurement isn't as critical because there are adjustable straps. But your measurement should probably be between 19 and 22 inches.

5 7/8 inches below center of knee: 16 inches. This appears to be the least critical. The braces will probably fit calves from 14 to 18 inches.

I picked these obscure distances from the center of the knee because that's where the straps are.

BTW, I also have the knee cups (included). Let me know how these match with your measurements.

You can also email me directly: shellysims@mindspring.com.

Just a note.... I believe CTi2 will re fit them to your leg within the first year to compensate for muscle growth. You might want to give them a call before you get rid of them.... Or just sell em' and buy the Cell's. But by God wear something.
