One-Industries Hurricane kit for YZF250

Has anyone had any experience with the One-Industries Yellow Hurricane kit for the YZF250's. The kit uses the graphics to cover the tank, how does it look and hold up. Has anyone purchased an aftermarket stock size tank from Clarke or any other company in yellow that matches the OneIndustries plastic??
Thanks for the feedback.

515-We just did a complete Hurricane kit on a 400F over the last couple weeks. We went with the yellow stock capacity tank and it looks great.
If you want to see a 250F with the kit over the stock blue, look up "Rockchucker" in the member gallery or look at the thread "Hurricane's a comin'" in the General Discussion forum on page 2. That's a long, long, thread so you'll have to look at a bunch of pretty pictures!
A couple of things about the kit-I used windex and a hairdryer to apply the graphics even though their instructions said not to. This was the only way I could get them to conform to the compound angles involved. Other than that, everything was a good fit and matched up very well.

To get the real look, your gonna have to sandblast the frame, then powder coat and paint it BLACK....My friend just painted his frame Black, but went back to blue plastic on the 400f, looks good with black frame. The hurricane kit is nice, but as you said, a yellow tank makes it complete, and the black frame....

I'd listen to what BigLou and Zcookie were saying. If you have the time paint the frame and get an aftermarket tank. It doesn't look that bad with the stock blue but it looks better, much better with a painted frame.
As far as durability - One Industries makes the best graphics out there. Easy to apply and tough as nails. The graphics hold their color and form well. The tank graphics got a yellowish tint (on the white stripe area) from gasfumes after awhile but it was hardly noticeable. Unfortunately their seat covers aren't as durable. Mine developed a stress tear on the right side just above the airbox, in the vinyl section of the cover. You have to be careful not to get the cover too tight or it will tear perpendicular to the top of the seat (about where you butt hits the seat). Other than that, it was great.

Thanks for the info.
BigLou, I noticed some comments about the stock size yellow tank. Did you buy it from Clarke and did the color match up to the One-Industries plastics? Appreciate all the help and I'll post the pictures once it's complete.

Those are pretty cool kits. I especially liked the one in Time To Ride with Ty Davis on the golf course. I never have liked when Yamahas went blue. I even like the white, red and black factory colors. I know One Industries makes that, but I believe its only available for the YZ400F. Good luck with the conversion.

mxr515-I've only done about three tank swaps with shrouds in my short career, but the Clarke tank and the OI graphics fit nearly perfectly. No bending or tweaking required to get things to line up. And all of the yellow matched up very well. The one thing I did notice was that the yellow on the graphics was a more "electric" yellow than the plastic was, but it sure looks good when it is all installed. Also, we trimmed the tank graphics at the black line to eliminate all of the yellow that would normally cover up the blue tank. That made things a lot easier with the tank graphics. The shroud graphics will wrap around the compound curves nicely with a little heat from a hair dryer and when they set, they are stuck! I was very impressed with the way they wrapped around and stuck. It takes a little windex, a little heat, and a little patience. Just keep them warm and keep working them down and once all the windex is worked out, they will grab hold.
