Braking In YZ250F

I saw this article on http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm and it was talking about braking in a bike wide open which was totally different from what the factory says. I was wondering if anyone has tried this? I have a brand new 2002 YZ250F that I got 2 days ago, and I was running it easy. Should I run it hard?
