XR 80 hop up

My brother has a 1996 Honda XR 80 and wants some simple tricks and cheap parts that will give the bike a power and performance boost. What would you guys reccomend?

I had one and just jetted the carb correct for my altitude, good tires, Renthal bars (for handleing) good spring for correct suspenion set-up. I also used race gas and opened the airbox up. I am not sure what your are expecting as they are not really worth putting to much money into unless you wanted to go with a BBR setup. But they are cash! !
I had the best time on my XR80 as a play bike when I was bored.

My son rides an '97 XR80. We opened the airbox then added an FMF generic silencer, labeled for 150cc engines. The new pipe made a huge improvement in power throughout the entire rpm range. The newer XR's have better exhaust system, the older XR's need help.
I called BBR and asked where they get their 4 stroke engine stuff and they told me Powroll. Our next improvement will be the high compression kit from Powroll, they specialize in four strokes.
