Michigan Trailfest Mongolian Feast and Benchracing

Announcing the first annual Michigan Trailfest Mongolian Feast and Benchracing Enduro!! Saturday, March 16, 5pm. A round of your favorite suds first, then dig into the great bar-b-que feast!

Located at the Okemos Mongolian Bar-B-Que.

We'll be planning the ride in April and other dates too.

Bring your favorite incredible (and probably totally blown out of proportion) dirt bike story!

Wives invited (?)

An alternative would be to meet at 1pm and beat the evening crowd. That also gives us out-of-towners an opportunity to visit Lansing Cycle!

Let Mike and I know your availability and preferred time. And, let me know what you think about the note two paragraphs above.

Hey Mark! I'll check with Iceman to see if he can make it. We would prolly be able to make it at 1pm.

As far as the wives, they prolly wouldn't make it - they've already heard all of our dirt bike stories - LOL!! And besides, dirt bike stories are always more exaggerated, er I mean, elaborate when in the presence of beverage consuming Trailfesters - LOL!!! Hope to see everyone there!

Happy birthday Mark! Man it's rough turning thirty isn't it?

The date will work for me. I think wive's will have to be invited since I already mentioned it to my better 3/4's. Either time is ok by me but later would work better due to child care concerns

Posted by: triplephatmx---------------------

Oooops! Yeah HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mark!!!!:o

Posted by: Jeff Allen---------------------

March 16 works for me also, time doesn't matter. As for the wife I let you know on that one...

Happy Birthday OLD MAN!!!

Posted by: triplephatmx---------------------

Hey all, we won't be able to make it. Talked to Iceman this morning and he reminded me of a previous engagement that weekend. Have fun, drink several for us and we'll shoot for the ride in April. C-ya!

Posted by: Tom Dixon---------------------

I will probably make it. Maybe my dad will come too. I prolly won't bring my wife, since I don't have one. Both times will work for us, but 1 o'clock will be better so we can yell and do the mess around without offending someone.

I'm baby sitting my store that weekend while my General Manager is in training in PA. :whiner: We are making some major construction changes at my store in April. (I'll still make that first ride though!)

You guys can count me in for supplying the burgers and buns at any of the organized trailfests we have this year, so ya better make sure I can make your planned dates! :scream: It's become tradition - one rule is you have to wait until I place the platter of burgers down on the table before you start digging in! Hey Badgerman you up for those tasty support cookies???

Oh ya, I'll get that big box of snickers bars too.

Drink a beer in my name guys, sorry to miss the fun. I'm deep into a remodeling project at my store which I planned to be done before the "Rites of Spring" so I can make that.

Sorry to hear you won't make it to our feast. I figured you a shoe-in for the benchracing competition! With Jeff coming, he's the natural second!

Looks like we should lock and load for 5pm.

Rickshaw, you coming?

Posted by: BadgerMan---------------------

Fred,

If I make the ride (at this point I see no conflicts) I will be packin' a couple batches of cookies! I would not even think of showing up without 'em!

TF

If Fred's not goin, either am I

Actually we are celebrating my wife and sister in law's birthday that evening.

I don't think they are into benchracin'.

Hope you guys have a great time, look forward to our spring ride date.

Jeff and Brian, what is this the dating game??? My cousin Tom is 14...no need to rush him into marriage. I remember Brian playing match maker last year

Posted by: fatherandson---------------------

BAD NEWS GUYS,

I can not make it on the 16th. My situation is similar to Rick Shaw. My youngest daughter was born at 3:17am on 3/16/2000. The birthday party is planned for 4:00pm. BIG BUMMER!!:whiner: :whiner:

Mike Jr.

Posted by: BadgerMan---------------------

Hey Mike!

Bring her along, I'll bake her a batch of cookies! Sounds like maybe we should consider another date?

Posted by: MWEISSEN---------------------

Yeah, sounds like we'd better make it another date - or hold it in GR since it's down to the GR crowd.

Mike, you sure can't miss that 2 year birthday! For each of our kid's first birthday, we'd make a chocolate cake covered with chocolate frosting, put them in their high-chair with only a diaper on in the middle of the kitchen floor, put newspapers all around the floor, then let them go at the cake bare-handed. Quite the sight for sure! They had a ball with the cake, and we had a ball with the camera!

Posted by: fatherandson---------------------

Mark,
When I read the post, I was initially disappointed. However, I held out some hope because I did not know the date of the party. Sometimes the grandparent and god parent can not make it on the same day.
If you decide to change the day or the location, let us know.

Amanda gets one more chocolate cake experience and then it is time to start acting like a "lady". We put the video camera on them so we do not miss anything. All that food coloring and sugar sure make for a messy
daiper.

Mike

C'mon guys, the16th is my wifes and mine anniversary and I'm still planning on going... ok it the anniversary of the day we met, but it still something we celebrate :silly:
Sure you guys can't make it?

Posted by: fatherandson---------------------

Jeff, I might be able to be there for an hour or two if we met earlier in the afternoon. I do agree with Mark, there does not seem to be much of an "east coast" availability on that day.
Mike

Posted by: Jeff Allen---------------------

What time works for you then?

Posted by: Tom Dixon---------------------

I'm up for a different day. My Dad will probably have to work that weekend since the manager was fired for misconduct with the ladies........(we'll leave it at that).
