99 YZ400F Clutch problem

Hey Guys/Gals,
I'm having a problem with my friends YZ400F. I installed a new clutch basket (Hinson) and a new clutch (Barnett). The bike ran great for four rides but he just called me and told me that the clutch is dragging bad; bad enough that if the bike is in gear he can't push it or start it (yes with the clutch in 
.) He told me that he adjusted the clutch but it does not change.
Did he KILL the clutch already? (He was at the sand dunes when the problem started)
