need a new back up lid to my shoei,which i love,but cant plop down the 500 bucks was wandering if anyone has tried these out they seem to have snell and dot certification and the 2002 models look pretty decent...thanks

I posted under another topic, however I have just purchased a KBC Galaxy road helmet based on recommendations in a magazine. Comfy, but fits big, ie I purchased a small.
I have a Shoei and am looking for a backup as well and am thinking about the KBC.

KBC has always made great helmets. I find now they are looking better and better now days. My dads friend bought a KBC tk-vx helmet last year, and for the money he paid, it's one hell of a helmet. I think KBC helmets are the best bang for the buck out there.
