Keep 2k CR125, or get new bike??

Hey Spodes,
I've been thinking about possibly getting a new bike at the end of the summer. I could have $4500 to spend at the end of the summer, or I could spend $1500 on my CR. I'm considering getting a 250F or a real 250. Both of these would be a step up in power, but I'm not sure if I need it. On the other hand I could get bars that would last, new tires, chain, sprockets, bark busters, a gripper seat, and much more with the extra money (on my CR). What do you think that I should do? Thanks a lot-
Yzeater

Ya know i was going through the same dilema with my 2k yz125. Well i went with spending the money for maintenance. First off all the bike is awsome and second of all why send 5500 OTD for a new bike. Why not save 4000g's and just mod up the Cr? Right?

I also have a 2K CR125, and I love it. I have ridden my friend's KX250, another guy's YZ426F, and although the power is awesome, I would really miss the lightness and maneuverability of my 125. Both my friends admitted that when we switched bikes and ran the hare scramble track, a track that had more tight, twisting trails than long, open straighter trails, they were working a lot less on my 125 than their bigger, heavier bikes. On a track or tight trail, I prefer my 125 than my other friend's bikes. The only time I dread my 125 is on open trails or steep hills. I am in the same dilemma as you, I have been debating getting a 250. If my riding tendencies start to lean more towards trail riding, I will go with a 250, but if I stay on the tracks, I will stick with my 125. No complaints about my CR. A friend suggested putting a bigger carb on it and better ignition, those mods., I will most likely do if I keep it.
