I would like to race Enduros but there aren't many of them around here where i live, so i was wondering what else i could do to get my hand in racing??I would prefer to stay away from MX cuz thats not what the KDX was built to do! I was considering HILLCLIMBING as i have plenty of practice on black dirt hills and Enormous sand hills built my our exacator here at work. Any ideas?? I'm 15 by the way!

I do harescramble witch is really fun. The kdx does great. It is like a 3 mile loop and then onto the mx track and back into the woods. two hours long

Would you recommend upgrading my bike with bark busters and a skid plate before a harescrabmle race or aren't they that importint in a hare scramble?? Does it just go throu some of the MX track or all of it? thanks for the help.

skid plate is optional, but bark busters are a necessity. hare scrambles are woods races, its not often that you get out onto an MX track. loops range from 4-20 miles. as many laps as you can do in 2 or 3 hours. have fun

Ride Red is describing the Virginia series average race. Only a few incorporate MX tracks, and the loops probably average eight miles here. The actual terrain and race format will change from state to state. Personally I think barkbusters are a must as well as a skid plate. You will cross logs, and you will slam the underside of your bike on numerous obstacles. I have a new 220 and I will not cross a big log until my dang skid plate comes in.

From what i've heard neither a nessecity around here but Bark busters are helpful especially if you don't feel comfortable wiht the trees comeing close to your hands or don't want to break your fingers if you hit a tree! I will have my bro make me up one of his special skid plates made out of Diamond Plate Aluminum, they look coo and are fairly strong. also from what i have heard the H/S around here are not such tight trails, and they do utilize parts of the MX track. Thanks for the help.
