I started it up, adjusted the idle speed and took here for a ride. This bike is in the works for hopping up, and still has the stock exhaust and I am getting a PC combo. But with the stock carb settings what will I need to adjust? Different main jet? I don't know much about carbs with these bikes, but when I drove it, it seemed to take a bit and then there was power. In any case, what is to be expected when putting a rad valve on a stock bike? I really appreciate your help. Thank you!

From all that I've read, not much if anything at all. Just KDX site has a very comprehensive hop up guide. Do the "free" air box lid, change the pipe and do some suspension work and then fine tune the jetting. Let 'er rip!

Jetting: 42-45 pilot, R1173 #2, 155 mian and adjust air screw so that you feel the best throttle response.

Catch up with us Mich guys this summer for one of our rides. First one is May 4-5 CCC sponsered Rites of Spring in Baldwin MI.

I just put a rad valve on last week. I can tell you that i dropped my main
jet down about 4 sizes from the stock 160. Im at 152. try about 2 turns
on your air screw (from fully seated position ). You may not notice much of a difference until you put a pipe on it and modify your airbox.
