190# 250F Stiffer Springs?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I am 190lbs, 40+ Amt Mx'er.
Bike is an '02 250F set up with 4" of sag leaving 1/2" of free sag.
Clickers are stock except I am 2 more in on the fork compression (10 out)
Stock springs, fork 44kg shock 4.8kg
Stock oil level 140mm
The bike feels plush but will bottom on the flat landings. Not a hard clank but enough to bounce me off the end of a jump I didn't clear.
Should I get stiffer springs or try to correct this with oil height and clickers?
Also, will the high speed on the shock help bottoming or is this a low speed situation?
I love how plush this suspension is on the chop/braking bumps and don't want to sacrifice this. Revalving is not an option at this time.
I checked your website which says these springs are ok so I guess I'd appreciate some setup advise if possible.
Thanks.
Bob

Any of you suspension guru's have an opinion on this?

Those sag numbers indicate you need a stiffer rear spring.
I would try upping the oil height in the forks 10mm
I wouold say if the bike is bottoming on the faces of jumps use the high speed adjuster, if its just on smoother landings use the LS adjuster.
Remember it it meant to bottom(not hard) once per lap.
