Just heard this on DMXS.com, he recently ran in the 250 C class and won (local amateur race).
This is a 12 y/o.
12 y/o on a 250:think
Look out, Bubba!

he won the 250c mod class at lake whitney, which is far from a local race. i've already seen him getting flamed for it on another board. this one should follow suit shortly.

OK, time for my initiation into the realm of MX politics, of which I am apparently ignorant.:think
Uh, why would anyone flame him? Because he, uh, should have more respect for his elders?
Please, explain. I'm baffled.

some are saying anyone with factory support shouldn't be allowed to ride c. others are saying because he is fairly successful in the 80's classes that he should move directly to b. others may be confusing him with mike. i think many don't realize how fast the c class really is at the nationals.

Consider me enlightened.

Any races I've ever attended if you ride and were in the top half of your class in the 80's you jump right to "B" class in the big bikes.
That's about as bad as Bubba riding the Intermediate class at Vegas last fall!!!!

classes must be different in other areas. here and at whitney B and intermediate are the same thing, one step below pro.

If memory serves me... There is a Beginner class which is like your local C class at a national level event . The C riders at that level are not new to the sport. They are either new to the track or the class (displacement). When I lived out west I would race the local "C" class and (and clean up)then race at Whitney and CMC series races in the same class and get beat... and sometimes bad.

Jeff is not the only one that does it. There are lots others, they just
don't have the notariety that the Alessi's have. Jason is right, national
or regional "C" riders are usually faster than local "B" riders. Beg class is actually "D". The rider that finished 2nd to him at Whitney is also an accomplished 80 "B" rider, or was last year. Jeff is an 80 "B" rider, Mike is an 80 "A" rider.
