RMX desperate for rear shock

I have a '93 RMX 250. Last year I took the back shock in to have the seals done etc. I ran one hair scramble and the shock went again. Pro-action did it the first time and this time I had a guy who works for racetech do it. He said that on the inside of the shock, the anodization is scared up. He honed it out etc. but it just isn't the same
I work at a local motorcyle dealership and no one around has an RMX...I'm looking for an aftermarket shock that can take a SERIOUS beating...or just some suggestions as to what to do here.
Thanks

I had a 93 RMX with the same problem. I sent it to Works Connection and they called me and told me the inner anadizing(sp?) was gone. They sent it out to have it hard anadized. I think it added 50$to the bill. There are probably other places that offer the service. The shock was still going strong 2 years later when I sold the bike.
