First Real Race...Help

Hey,
I've finally recieved permission to race a harescrambles on April 7th. It's the Blue-Grey 100 at Budd's Creek. I did this one last year, but I was on an xr100 racing kx100's, so it was a whole different race. This race is 2 hours long, and it consists of flat track, mx and wide single track woods.
What should I do? Do I need a camelback? Should I bring some extra tools along? How sould I prepare my bike? Any riding tips for this kind of thing? Anything is greatly appreciated. Thanks

hey eater...get on AIM, and ill give yo usome help there..but for here on DRN...yes bring a camelback. consider a flywheel weight for racing woods. i take my tools, but let my pit crew carry along my pack. for Budds...prepare your bike for sand and WHOOPS. ride a trail pace for the first half of the race...tehn get agressive...i go all out usually in the last 45 mins.

Hey,you definitly need a camelback or something like it that will do the job,for the first lap take it easy, notice how the terrain runs, get to know the track, then for the rest of your race go all out, that way you will be most effecient cause i bet u that most of the other riders will pin it from the beginning and find themselves in trouble, cause they dont know the track.
Take some tools with you in a bumbag or moonbag.Just the essentials.I wish you best of luck for your ride, enjoy!:D

yeah...u can go easy for the first couple of laps...budds is only 4 miles + the MX track
