Mike LaRocco update
We called Mike LaRocco this morning to check in on the injured rider and see how he was doing. The Amsoil/Dr. Martens/Journeys/Factory Connection Honda rider is still on the DL with a wrist injury, which he suffered at the Minneapolis round of AMA/EA SPORTS Supercross. LaRocco has since gone through surgery, and is currently at home and on the mend Corona, Calif.
RX: How's everything going, Mike?
LaRocco: Things are fine. I'm just kinda waiting it out. I go back into the doctor on March 28th to get the pins out. I'll be in a cast for seven to ten days after that. Should start rehab right around Pontiac [April 13th].
Have you been able to do any sort of training?
I'm keeping up with my cardio, doing what I can do machine-wise so I don't lose everything.
How are your spirits?
My spirits are good!
When do you think you'll be able to race again?
My goal is to ride Glen Helen. But the way it looks - if I were to follow orders from the doctors - I won't be riding until the week after Las Vegas.
Do you always follow orders from doctors?
LaRocco: [Laughs] No, not really.
