Inverted forks "sticky"

What can be done to reduce the sticking feeling that seems common on almost all inverted forks. I have an 01 520 exc (WP 43mm) and it is definately sticky feeling. This was very noticeable this weekend when I traded my brother who has an XR600. The fork just feels free when bouncing up and down, while mine is sticky. What really confuses me is that and inverted fork seems like it should be less likely to stick as there is more outer/inner overlap at all times. Is it bushing related? I wouldn't think the seals are much different than conventional forks.

are you sure its not damping related?

It's either your bushings or your R/S fork bound up. If your fork is bound up chances are that R/S bushing has been damaged.

find someone who is an experienced suspension guy, and make them ride your bike. They would be able to diagnose a problem

I assume you are talking about fork stiction? I remember hearing that KTM used "tight" fork seals that created a lot of stiction because their previous ones had chronic leaking problems. Don't know if this is true or not?:think

I found the 43mm WPs sticky as well-never did get rid of the problem.
