Can anyone tell me where to locate low profile seat to replace the stock seat on my KDX220R?

take your stock one to a upolstrey (sorry for the spelling) shop and have it trimmed, I think thats just about your best bet.

This off season when I was getting the bike ready for the season and putting on the grahics and new seat cover I looked in the phone book for upholstry shops. I drove over there and he did it on the spot. I had him take 1 and a half inches out of it, narrow the top more like an MX seat and feather it all the way back. I don't think you can take any more off it. The seat works much better for my 5'4" body. He used an electric knife and stapled the cover on with an air stapler. Cost was $25 and it looks perfect. You can check out my photos in MY GALLERY. It is a real ski jump seat now but it's nice to touch the ground!

Thank you for the advice, Sage and Fred T!
That sounds good and reasonable.
I am going to find an "upholstery shop" (I looked up the spelling in the dictionary!) and bring the seat in.
I have to get it done before I go to Ladie's Enduro riding school in Oregon in May. Can't wait!

P.S. Fred T, your bike looks gerat!

FireLily,
I've also did some cutting on my kdx's seat to help get my feet a bit closer to the ground. I took about 1" off of the top but the biggest help IMO is narrowing the seat. The stocker is so flat that you must shift to one side before reaching out with your leg to find the ground. By narrowing the seat, you can do this in a much smoother fashion which is a major benifit. Good luck with your new bike and have a great time at the rider's school.--Dan
