I remember seeing Europe's factory Kawasaki team using this stand under the sneak peak of the '03 KX250.

I found it for sale, here:

Works Stand

Very cool. That would make working on the bikes so much easier! Now if only we had a factory garage

Do you think these are one in the same? I haven't been able to get a reply for stateside info. http://www.griekspoor.nl/motox-lift/motoxlift_nl.html

AM I the only one that saw the price ? I think the pros are the only ones with those stands.....Unless of course you have more money then sense...

Umm....
$400 dollars would be alot better spent on suspension service and engine porting in my opinion. A couple of milk crates work for me.

I must not be very bright, I just spent $330 on a 1/2" Snap On pnuematic drill with a teaser trigger. Wonder how much a lower back cost? Yeah, give me two.

It looks like the same stand to me..

I wonder if we got a large order of them together, if they could be had at a more 'reasonable' price..

Just use a Lug-All and lift your bike up high enough to shove a wrokmate bench under it. Of course by the time you spend the money on a good genuine Lug-All and a Craftsman Workmate, .......guess I'd like one of those fancy bike lift thingys too.

A spkokesperson for the KTM site, confided there model is the "proffesional" model, and is shipped from Holland. It supposedly is made by a company called B2, that is in Holland. They make a lower priced "Hobbyist" version, that is basicall a cheaper pump, requiring pinning in the upright position. The spokesperson said they only import the "proffesional" version.

I have been working on alot of the new bigbore four strokes lately, and this stand looks useful. It appears to be the highest quality one I have found yet. Looks like the relaxed height, is right at 15 3/4 inches, most of the bikes I have been measuring are well below that in ground clearance. That didn't thrill me, I was hoping to not lift at all, just slide under and jack.

Maybe someone with connections at the KTM site, could drop a line for a discount group purchase.

Think I'll stick with my $45 lift stand and $25 creeper seat. I don't like to stand to work on my bike. Unless the mechanic comes with the $400 stand, in that case I'll take the one from http://www.griekspoor.nl/motox-lift/motoxlift_nl.html

I saw Shayne King using a one of these stands about a month ago, very nifty.

I believe this to be the stand seen under the 03' KX250 photo,http://www.harkink.net/

I have ordered one off the Cycle Hutt site, and would like to get ahold of this one as well. Anyone have any overseas conections?

Posted by: cweingartz---------------------

That looks like it could be replicated fairly easy. I think I may try to make one. If I do I will let you all know how it turns out.

I just recieved my crosslift from Cycle Hutt. Shipping was near $35 as this thing weighs 65lbs. I was very happy to see the quality of manufacturing and materials you would expect for that kind of $$. The entire thing is powder coated, and has a marine grade (no skid) plywood top. My concerns were the rigidity of the stand with a bike lifted, it is very stable, moreso than I hoped for. The pivots are all bushed and shimed with nylon washers, and all seems are completely welded. This makes for a "rock free" feel when extended. The bottle jack design seems very high quality, and is easily operated with your foot. To lower you simply raise up on the pump handle with your toe. It is a very controlled, slow decent even with a 270lb. bike. I have been around lot's of motocycle lift's that cost twice this, and take up alot more space. Many of those were less stable, and more cumbersome to work around than this. If you can't tell, I'm stoked!

I had several conversation with Justin before ordering. He returned calls to me on several occasions, including an update on shipping and arrival.

Drawback, It won't be getting lugged around much, it's HEAVY. Plus, you would not wan't it to grow leg's, at that price.
