drz 400 engine noise

new drz 400
quiet at first,oil change after 10 miles, light throdel use,
at 50 miles engine seems to be getting noisy at idle.
light knock and rattle on left side within engine.
is this normal?
also when i changed oil at 10 miles 3.5 quarts came out
apparently dealer didn't know they have a dry sump and added more oil when they uncrated it. would this have anything to do with the engine noise?

I don't know if the noise is normal but I do know an extra amount of oil keeps the bike quiet.

get used to it, it's normal. I don't pay attention to mine anymore

Yup, plenty of noise with that engine. Noise equals power dontchaknow!

It is probably normal, however, if it makes you uncomfortable, why not take it into the dealer just so they can have a listen?

My DRZ is fairly noisy. It's louder than my 426. I wouldn't worry about it. But I would worry about my dealer putting in 3 1/2 quarts of oil!!! That's pitiful. I would definately bring that to their attention.
