KLX300 Stroker Pipe

Just ordered Strokers pipe for my KLX300, but I ordered it with the nuts for the stock heat shield...they don't quite line up like I think they should. I had to use some spacers to get the proper clearance & keep the guard from contacting the pipe. Even with this it seems to sit lower than it did on the stock pipe. At least it isn't contacting other components on the bike.
Any other KLXers out there buy this pipe with the heat shield nuts & if so how did your shield fit?
