Does anyone have any experience, positive or negative, working with Thumper Racing? Specifically, I was looking at their 325 kit for the TTR 250.
Quality of work? Reliability? Value?
Thanks,
Mike

Boy, my wife's TTR250 runs awful hot already. I don't know that I would modify that engine at all.

The guys there are great. Great knowledge and service. Never knew anyone who had a bad thing to say about them.

Thanks for the replies.
I'm considering the 325 kit from Thumper or even the 350 kit from Stroker.
Do any of you TTR owners have either of these kits?

I have nothing but good stuff to say about Gary at Thumper Racing - and he's my competition (I work at Powroll)!
He builds good quality products and they are excellent people to work with.
I would stick with the smaller bore kit if it were my bike - the 325cc will give a very nice increase in power, and still give you decent reliability.

Powroll, huh? I'm not familiar with your company.
Details please...
Thanks,
Mike

Powroll is a four stroke performance company. They've been in business since 1964 building performance goodies for Japanese four stroke singles (they also used to do multi-cylinder street bikes back in the 70's, and two strokes back in the elsinore CR days).
People mainly know us because of our innovative ideas for stroking crankshafts. The owner of the company invented a procedure (back in '63) which allows a stock rod to be shortened for use with a stroked crank. This did away with spacer plates or special pistons and allowed for much easier installation.
We currently are probably best known for our mini products (XR, TTR, KLX, etc!). We also built the 4-Stroke National Champ bikes in 2000 (Craig Decker and Breedlove Racing), and sponsor a bunch of pro A T V racers.
Anyway, that's what we do!
