Can't get the reed cage out

I have a 2000 250EXC. I was doing some maintenance to bike last night and decided to check the reeds while I had the tank off. The reed cage did not want to come out. This is the first time I have tried to get it out. Am I missing something here. I assume the gasket is just stuck but wanted to make sure before getting too crazy with it. Thanks

That's all it is. Take a block of wood and give it a whack....it will come off.

You need to show it whos boss. The rubber attaches frimly to the metal. The mayor's advice is good. In the past I have just pryed them off.

Stick a M-80 in the pipe and blow it out. :scream:

Thats what I thought but I been known to screw things by getting a little heavy fisted.. I taped an M80 to a block of wood....one smack with a hammer and it blew right off. Thanks
