Pipe guard

I see that Rocky mountain have pipe guards that you wrap around the pipe and use a clamp to hold it in place. How strong are these guards.
I plan to ride enduros and want some added protection. Appreciate any suggestions on what is best for this.

They do a fine job, but are ugly. If it's like the one in the White Bros. catalog (mine), then get the extra extension - that's where it dented

Check out E-line's pipeguards, they are touted to be very strong, carbon fiber and look pretty good. I have one and no problems so far.
