CANCELLED - 4/28/02 D17 Hare Scramble

I just got back from the track and after a lenghty discussion with the landowner we decided to cancel the race. It has been raining since 7:45 this morning and the creeks are almost out of their banks. Last night the creek crossings were 6 - 8 inches and now they are 4 - 5 feet. They are predicting severe thunderstorms for tonight. We have to keep our landowners happy or we will soon have no place to sponsor races.
Sorry, but we can't beat mother nature. Please spread the word to other racers who were planning on attending the event. The landowner agreed to let us reschedule the race, but we will have to check with AMA and D17 to find an open date.
There is another race, sponsered by CIDRA(The Missing Link), next Sunday on the same property. I talked to Link and he will probably use alot the trail we have already laid out. It will be a good one, if we can get some sunshine.
