(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Sebez---------------------

I read up on the Vortex for the 2002 YZ250F and I want one! Where should I look to get one since I get the drift that you can't get them from Australia anymore?

The Midwest distributor for Vortex ignitions and custom programming is:
Precision Automotive Research
901 Hillside Dr.
Bensenville, IL 60106
Phone: 630-766-4402
Fax: 630-766-1715
Email: PARbrowser@aol.com
Contact: Dr. David Redszus

They also distribute Phillips race fuels.

If you call tell Dr. Dave I said Hi :D

Hey Sebez, where did you read up on the Vortex (outside the forum?)? I had some questions on if it will effect engine wear, etc. If you have any info for me on it's effect on the engine, how it exactly makes the extra power, or where I can read about it, please let me konw. Also, if you have heard any other things about it that you think are worth mentioning let me hear em'. Thanks!

Thumpertalk.com has a lot of opinions on it. Do a search in the 250F forum and type vortex ignition and there is a bunch to read. I am not sure on engine wear. Most of what I read states there is a pretty good performance gain with it. I guess I should probably look at the downside of it before I purchase one. Does anybody else know anything about it?

Might try here:

Email and phone contact details for the manufacturer.
Hope it helped.

I haven't heard anything, I could call them if you like, also dont forget very favorable exchange rate on $Aus V's $US.
