220r Jets w/new pipe

Morning All,
I'm about to install a pipe and silencer on a new KDX220r that belongs to my son's friend.
I've been looking at at couple of places, and it appears that I should go to a smaller jet. is this correct??? I thought it would go to a larger one. (I've never messed with 2smokes)
Here are the details.
New KDX220r
FMF KG35
Turbine SA Silencer
1000ft altitude
oh yes, and I think he wants a set of new reeds, probably Boysens if this adds in to the equation.
Any/all help would be greatly appreciated.

Check out the link below and have a look at the carb tuning section, under tech tips. You should be able to find the answers your questions there. If you need some clarification just get back to us here.
