Im driving a white 97 Z-71 pulling a blue and orange 3 bike trailer

lunatic, how dusty will it be?
Posted by: KTM-Lunatic---------------------

4 of us are coming from nashville to race. Never been down there before. What should we expect. Sand, hills? Thanks
Posted by: lawman---------------------
team mempho will be there with our spurs on, assuming we can get the bikes together after the indian nations enduro last weekend. 4banger, you should expect lots of sand & a pine tree or 2, some of which are known to grow quite close together. the sand gets pushed up into whoops. if there's a hill, it'll be because ktmlunatic & his friends built 1 up with a bulldozer. tell me how to find you & i'll look you up at camp & you can catch me up on what i missed at the last vsta board meeting. john

There will be a bunch of us from Bham. I know that Lemming, Sharp, and KDXfile are going as well as the group that I'm going with: Bobby, Jimbo, Bill, and the rest.
4Banger, you'll like this race a lot.
Lawman, don't forget to check the bearings on the trailer.
Posted by: Lemming---------------------
Yep, I'll be there. Won't arrive till Sunday morning so as usual we won't meet unless we hit each other on the trail :scream:
Posted by: lawman---------------------
hey tim: that's some memory you got! jerry solved the problem with that old trailer: he got a new 1. we'll be pulling it, a white 6 X 12 enclosed, festooned with stickers of jerry's sponsors, either with his blue tahoe or my white 'n' tan f-150. see you there.

Het 612, Who will overall this one?
Posted by: 612---------------------
Carter is the man.
Posted by: Roughrider---------------------
If carter is the man, what will he be riding, crutches and a wheel chair.
Posted by: 612---------------------
I take it he is not back yet! Roughrider, you had better be glad that the 612 Chevy Trucks Kawasaki won't be there. Hell, I don't know, I may put Earl on it just so he can get a finish.
Posted by: GasGasSmoker---------------------
Earl is going to be on a sponsered KTM
Posted by: 612---------------------
You might better hope that Elam doesn't show up. If someone shows him how to run a computer, it could be rough on the PMMC boys!
Posted by: GasGasSmoker---------------------
I dare him to show up he can be on my row
Posted by: ktmracer---------------------
Elam sure was flying on sunday!! doesn't he race motorcross or used to?
Posted by: GasGasSmoker---------------------
He barley got the overall though
Posted by: 612---------------------
Yes, KTM RACER, he used to race motocross. He has been off for 2 years and just started riding again 2 months ago. Impressive huh!
Posted by: ktmracer---------------------
well i don't think w. wyatt is exactly slow either.
Posted by: GasGasSmoker---------------------
Hey RoughRider,
Are you going to the race Sunday?
Posted by: ktmracer---------------------
612: yeah
Posted by: ktmracer---------------------
GG SMOKER: are you chad's brother??
Posted by: 612---------------------
KTM RACER: He's not, but GG Smoker does refer to him as his "DADDY".
Posted by: Roughrider---------------------

Posted by: 612---------------------
Roughrider:
I need to get the KX back tomorrow.
Posted by: Roughrider---------------------
i'm going practicing on it tommorrow! thought i would put in 6 laps around hs course
Posted by: 612---------------------
At least we know it would hold up!
Posted by: 4banger---------------------
We are staying at a motel on sat night and riding on row 14. I have only been in sand once and learned not to chop the throttle going into a corner at 50mph. I learn things like this the hard way. I think Mully saw the carnage or maybe just saw me wadded up on the side of the trail. I will most likely be wearing my XDB shirt and hanging out with Derek Bratcher, Taras Massey and Clay Stuckey. See you guys there.

Nolan ,Clay , Matt J. Carstan C .Nolan knight is on a role from what I under stand , as I sit up here in NJ and read these comments , and for all you out of towners. You are about to ride some of the best trails in the deep south I put that event on with Rockco , and the club for 10 years and now the Master of links is joined in from wiggins and it should be really good .It will be mostly sand trails, tight woods ,no hills to speak of unless they found some big holes since I left from down there , really good flowing trails I hate that i live 28 hours away are I'd greet you at the tables and tell them at the sign up John B jr sent you and you should get a Big smile out of them with that one! Enjoy the race bring lot's of water you will need it John B jr

CGREENE, are u ready for Sunday!
Posted by: cgreene---------------------
Roughrider -- I am as ready as I will ever be. Given this is my first enduro since about 1982, I'm pretty pumped. One problem is my old pacemaker appears to be a little worse for wear than I thought. I now realize it is next to impossible to get one of these repaired at this time. I ordered a new watchdog today, but don't think it will get here and mounted in time. No matter, I expect to have a bunch of fun anyway and I'll just have to do my timekeeping the old fashion way. I am heading for South GA. in the a.m. on business and will wind my way back toward Mobile on Friday night sometime. See you guys down there on Saturday or Sunday. I dig riding in the sand...so it should be a great ride.

I try to still keep tabs on what's going on back home in SERA with who's coming up and who's winning , I now live in NJ and race ECEA & National Enduro Series. I needed a change of pace and I found it up here chaseing Fred Hoes. I kind of got bored with the tight trees and thought the rocks would be a good change. And with that came a 200A National Enduro Championship. Glad to see I haven't been totally forgoten . And my hats off to you Tim for the correct spelling of my name even my english teachers could'nt spell it , I hope all you guy's have a great ridee this weekend and look out in the dust and watch out for the stumps in the under brush! John jr
