Anybody ever heard any Baker Gurvitz Army? I'm sure it's only gonna be us "old guys", but...

I've been trying to hunt down "Elysian Encounter (1975)" for a LONG TIME.

Ok ok, let me redeem myself
Here is the orginal record for 4.99 :scream:

If you don't have a user ID and want to place a bid, PM me and ill do it on your behalf. But really who isn't on ebay?

ps, the correct pic of the album is on the bottom, the top is a screw up I guess?

edit here is another for $5.00

Cool I've gotta get into this EBay thing.

Posted by: CanadianRidr---------------------

Well are you going to bid? You can't go wrong for 4.99

Posted by: a454elk---------------------

I'm gonna bid just to screw things up!
And NO, Okie, don't get into that EBay thing, my credit card is spinning like a top, too many cool things to buy!

Posted by: CanadianRidr---------------------

That's why I refuse to use my credit card, ONLY use moneyorders :D

If it doesn't have to be vinyl, you can get the CD here:

Cheaper on CDNow:

I have my elves searching for MP3's

Posted by: wfodbiker---------------------

Okie,
Be careful with Ebay. It is almost as addicting as DRN, but it costs a heck alot more. My Evel Knievel collection is exceeding my income! :scream:

Posted by: MrLuckey---------------------

Okie, check your PM box, I have several MP3s from that album and several other songs for ya.

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Want to tell me where they are so I can DL them (you don't have to email)? The more the better

I just hope it's as good now as I remember it, lol.

Posted by: MrLuckey---------------------

That is tough, I found them using a program called WinMX (Napster like program). There are over 2 million users and you just have to search for songs any way you can think of (ie. artist name, album, title etc) and even then you might find them now but not later or vice/versa. It took quite a few searches to finally catch somebody that had them. I tried Morpheus, Limewire and swapnut (other file sharing programs with no luck). You can get WinMX at www.zdnet.com in their dl section, just search on it if you want. I can still e-mail these songs, lemme know.

I found almost all of their songs on that album and others at audiogalaxy.com. there were a couple of users for each. just search for the band name. Audiogalaxy is the best for music I think. I might be able to download them and email them if you want.

I have heard some things about audiogalaxy and checked it out once but the privacy statement includes things such as this:

"Some information we may collect, use, and associate with your Anonymous ID includes:

- Which web pages your computer views and how much time is spent at those sites
- Your response to the ads we display
- Standard web log information and system settings
- What software is on your computer
- Your first name, country, and five digit ZIP code
- Your GAINware usage characteristics and preferences"

Plus I don't care for the ads etc.
This is the WinMX privacy policy:

Our privacy policy is very simple. We DO NOT collect any personal information from users of the WinMX application software nor do we collect any personal information from visitors to WinMX.com .

Frontcode Technologies and/or WinMX do not own ANY type of sharing or indexing servers. Therefore we have no control over how any information transmitted to these servers is handled.

When a user connects to an OpenNap server using WinMX, only information essential to program operation is transmitted to the server, such as your WinMX user name, password, any file searches you perform, any chat messages you type, etc. This information is only transmitted to the relevant server, it is not transmitted to us or anyone else.

WinMX Peer Cache and Peer Redirect servers are used solely to reflect the I.P. addresses of WinMX Peer Network users to other WinMX Peer Network users. Nothing besides your I.P. address and WinMX incoming connection port number is transmitted to these servers. No file listings or any other types of information including your login parameters are ever transmitted to any servers owned or operated by WinMX.com and/or Frontcode Technologies.

WinMX does not and will NEVER contain SPYWARE. We would never betray the trust of our users by selling out to spyware."

Well I didn't know about audiogalaxcies pollicies, but I've never had any problems with anything. I also have some softwear to take care of some of that stuff. I don't really worry about it.
