snapped rear shocker

hi
well im extremly peeved, 2 weeks ago i snapped the top part of my shocker on my 00 xr200 completly off, and i went into my local honda dealership to order a new one and they want $ 850 for a new one, im in australia, so i think for u guys in US it would be like 400-450 bucks, so im extremly annoyed, i dont have that kinda cash, and there is no way around buying another shocker, my spring is still in good condition. so i have decided im going to go to the motorcycle wreckers and rip the rar shocker out of their latest modle 200 and bolt that up, but before i do that does anybody have any usefull ideas for me. since i dont have 850 bucks to waste on a new shocker, any suggestions, also, are there any other bike shocks that will fit, CR, XR 250 etc.

G'day Tekno,
wreckers would probably be your best bet, dont know about a later model shock, might create more problems, valving etc, could be way out.

Sorry Big Guy,
A new Rear Shocx is going to cost...........That's all there is too it..........Your best bet is shopping around for wrecks and then checking re-builds............Other-wise if you buy new you will be out at least $800.00......PK
