I was hoping some one could point me to some reading material on enduro's and hare scrambles. I have the bike dialed in and I have NEVER competed in any kind of race before. Because I like woods riding overall, I would like to try some competitions this summer, but, I havent found any good source material for rules, strategy, or description.
Thanks in advance for all the help.
Jason
P.S. The bike is a 02wr 426, I have been back into riding for about a year, I would probably run in the 30+C class, does that make sense???

Man I wish I could remember Timr's link!
Its got great tips.
Rules can be found at the AMA website

Try this one for starters:

Keep in mind there are three types of enduro rules depending on where you live. AMA, which is described in the link above and are the most common rules in the U.S. Brand X, which is used in New England (NETRA) and Canada. AMA Qualifier/FIM, which are the same as used in World Enduro Competition (Europe).

This is probably Timr's link;
Go to www.dirtrider.net/sera and click on "Enduro Basics" for some info and also click on "Links" for even more info.
Also, check with the club putting on the event because some rules about bike configuration vary depending on where you'll be riding.
