Can new seat foam really help?

The last few rides on my 98 KX250 have left me with a very sore lower back. The suspension is freshly serviced, MX-Tech tuned; and is operating perfect. Maybe my back is going bad but I've never had problems like this before. Was thinking that maybe the seat foam was sacked out. Any comments would be appreciated.
