Valve stack longevity?

I'm starting to feel desperate because my suspension is letting me go. I just noticed my suspension getting harsher during the last two weeks. I have a race almost every week-end so sending it over is not possible. The oil was changed a month ago at the same time as the race season started. I know how to set the clickers and I know by heart the tuning guide. I'm starting to wonder if it could be the shims in the valve stack that are starting to bend and are worn out. Is that possible? If so what can I do? Can I flip on the other side every shim one by one? I know I have to get a newer bike but I just can't right now.
Thanks!!

Seb dont worry its completly fixable.Yes you can flip the shims over to get them to work better -also many suspension companies will sell you shims as well so you can replace them if you really want.It will be the midvalve shims that will need to be flipped over-its only the 1st few shims generally. The CR fork is really easy to service so get in there and flip away.
On the base and midvalve you need to grind down the stacked part of the thread down to the nut.Just run a file on the thread until its flat with the nut.

No Hand,
When you changed the fluid did you pull the base valve and clean it out? Did a buddies '00 KX a while back and it was way naaaasty down there. :scream: Made a diff.

This is so helpful. Thank you guys. I did dismantle and clean everything on the last rebuild. It just has no reason to act like this. I'm gonna dig into it. Thanks again!
