hey, I want to start racing, but i don't really feel like motocross. I would rather trail race. I am 15, about 5'10" and 120 pounds. What would be a good bike fo me to race, i was thinking somewhere along the lines an xr200 or xr250. I also want to be able to ride with my friends during the summer months, so a green sticker is pretty important. What other bikes would be good for me to race, yzf250? could i race a 2-stroke and still get a green sticker? thanks

I think an XR250R would be the ticket. They're green sticker, and can handle anything you throw at them. They also have tons of hop-up potential.

the xr250r is a fantastic bike and does very well on the trails, and as your skill increases you can increase the power of the bike easily.

Another vote for the XR250

kx 500 hehehe just kidding i would go with a kdx 200/220 they sticker fine i think and have more fun power than the xr 250

I would go with a KDX200/200 or find a KTM EXC 200. I really would not worry too much about the green sticker. If your going to ride at Parie City OHV park in the summer (too hot for me) then look for a bike that will be green sticker legal. I would not go with an XR250 or 200. The KDX would have a much higher fun factor.

one word
i think):
kdx220/200.
thats all. i think you can green sticker them, if not, just 'borrow' one!
ok,ok. really, i think you can.

oops!
that was supposed to be a colon and a parentheses.

No doubt - KDX for the money and weight, you can't wear it out. Second choice would be yzf. XR is a good reliable bike but very heavy and low power in comparision

I would also say the KDX or XR.Another choice may be the WR250f most say they are great bikes.

yeah i forgot the WR, they are already race-prepped (sorta) with the wide-ratio gearbox, headlight, and big gastank. your best bet would be KDX220/200 or WR250F.
