I Have An Idea For Another Event!

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: biglou---------------------

This is an idea for an event that requires the utmost skill.
It requires daring.
It requires coordination.
I'm talking about, of course, Pit Bike Tag-Team Racing!

Nothing like grown men/women on little-bitty bikes swappin' plastic, shutting each others fuel off, grabbing chest protectors by the neck-hole, etc.

We had one of these locally a couple races ago and it was hysterical! As much fun for the spectators as for the racers.

Whataya think? Who's with me on this? And, who can loan me a little-bitty bike? I promise I'll go easy on it!

Rules are, nothing bigger than a 100 4-stroke or 65 2-stroke, and you must share a bike with your partner and make the change over.

Make it a 125 4 Stroke and I'm in.

I second that Okie since our pitbike is a ttr125

Posted by: Thump---------------------

Okay, 125 4 stroke if you are over 200lbs... There ya go Okster. LOL

Posted by: biglou---------------------

Okie-I've seen your (Scooter's) 125 4-stroke. It's a wolf in wolf's clothing! I think we should SEVERELY limit AJ's choice of bike. I can see it now: "Aw, come on, it's just a little 80!"

And Mr. Who, well, he's gonna have to be the grand marshall or something!

Actually, I just pulled the cc numbers out of a hat. The key would be that the rider is seriously too big for the bike they're on (Sounds safe, doesn't it kids?:D). We could make it a shortened MX lap, or a lap around a field, if available. And have obstacles like water baloons thrown by the spectators, or get sprayed with a water hose or something. It'll be a hoot, I promise!

So I'd have to be riding a what?! 1000cc mini bike?

Posted by: Danman---------------------

That sounds like a blast. Can I borrow a pit bike I do think it would be fun to watch.

Posted by: wheelie4strokeB---------------------

I'm in with a little 50cc 4stroke that Big Lou can barrow. I might have to put a coulpe more #s of air in the tires. LOL

Posted by: JuliusPleaser---------------------

Psychotic?

I'm in!

Me too!

Posted by: Thump---------------------

I am SO in on this if I can borrow a pit bike.

Posted by: CAL---------------------

I'm in if I can talk one of my buddies into letting me haul his Z50 halfway across the country.

Posted by: blackhawk468---------------------

I'm in if I can borrow a pit bike. Sounds like a load of fun.

Posted by: AJ Waggoner---------------------

MY CR80 has a XR100 engine in it now Big Lou.
i think it meets the requirnments ? (look in my gallery)

Or what do you mean be severly limiting my bike choice?
I really like TTR125s ' but Xr100 or XR75s are fun as well :D

Posted by: biglou---------------------

I'm thinking you would have to ride one of those McGrath RC bikes if anyone else were to stand a chance! Maybe one hand tied behind your back or something? :D

Posted by: Milquetoast---------------------

Maybe you should have it where you are required to carry a watermelon while riding? That might make it a bit more challenging!

Posted by: biglou---------------------

My belly would get in the way of the watermellon! :scream:

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Lou... I can relate

Posted by: Milquetoast---------------------

OK, how about you have to wear helmets made out of watermelons? I want to see pictures either way!

Posted by: Jaybird---------------------

<--- will suffer through being a Honda man for one race!

Posted by: sfc crash---------------------

man, i shoulda held on to that old honda street 90, that was backyard racing!

Posted by: KTMKyd---------------------

Hey Lou, you could lift your belly up and put the watermelon under it, it'll stay, believe me

Posted by: AJ Waggoner---------------------

Lou lol..comon man!
1. I have not ridden since Halloween day..
2. I cant even walk yet....the docs are unsure even when ill be able to walk.

and your putting me on a Mcgrath RC bike

Maybe if you let Billy run the controls for it? I'd have a fair shot until he broke the controller

Posted by: BunduBasher---------------------

Big Lou, take a look at this, and tell me is this event 'wild' enough http://www.suntimes.co.za/1999/08/01/news/news18.htm

I kinda doubt that'll ever be a DW event, lol.

Posted by: Bezdelnik---------------------

I'm in for the race. I'd probably have to wrap my legs up over the handlebars. Better make it the 125.

Come on AJ - those crutches might give you an ufair advantage.

Posted by: justql---------------------

I'm in. I might even have an extra bike for someone to borrow.

Posted by: Zoomer---------------------

I'm in, just got Luke a ttr90, I think he'll let me borrow it

Thanks Mike!

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

This may turn out to be THE DW event

Posted by: smb_racing---------------------

ah man, my Z won't be ready by then, I"m beginning to wonder if the GasGas will make it either

might have a new engine in the Can-Am though

Posted by: biglou---------------------

Remember-It's tag team, so you can share a bike. BTW-Anyone want to share a bike?

I know. We would have Elk shooting at Zio, then they would trade back and forth. Nobody would get any riding in trying to dodge paintballs from those two! :scream:

Posted by: motodawg---------------------

How 'bout an air-cooled DS80 2-stroke? it runs about even with ttr90's. Cooperland's mini-only track, seperate from the main track, would be perfect for this event. Little jumps, short lap times, but enough terrain variation to make it interesting and allow for sneak attacks, water-balloon carpet bombing and paintball sniper nests. Is it legal to kidnap other team members? Take a look at http://www.mxstates.com/MXMain.aspx...Menu&Param1=894 and see Red Dirt!

Posted by: biglou---------------------

That's right! The mini track. Perfect location.

Posted by: BunduBasher---------------------

I wonder if the JR80/DS80 will be classified as a cheater bike

Posted by: BSWIFT---------------------

Would you score extra points if you can keep your knees UNDER the handlebars? Excep AJ and Jeff G. j/k!
