Pit_Monkey and I are planning on being at the Southwick races this coming Sunday, June 9th.
I know kawiekx125, marcv125, Jh85, and Trailboss are going and Papakeith mentioned he would try to escape farm work to be there.
We need to schedule a meeting place and time so we can all figure out who is who. I will be wearing my white Liberty Cycle Racing tee-shirt along with my orange Fox cap.
If you know what you might be wearing, please post it so we can spot you.

I know I am new here, but I will be at Southwick, probably in the pits most of the day. I will be wearing my white Paragon T-shirt.

Scooter,
We will keep an eye out for you.
We weren't able to get pit passes as they were out.
Posted by: Jh85---------------------
I still plan on being there.
How early is everyone planning to get there?
When I do show up I'll be wearing a bluish-greenish Black Dog Martha's Vineyard T-shirt and a blue Fox hat.
Hrmm....Meeting place....?
See you at the races,
Jared

Rick, we can get pit passes the day of the race, if you show up early enough. It is best to either decide to sit and not move or just stand and walk around the whole day, because once you are set, you are set. The pit passes are 10 I believe and are only valid untill race time. I tried to get full acces pit passes through parts unlimited but was not quite successful.
See all of you there!

Kawiekx125 and I discussed meeting at 9 am at the annoucers stand and then going and cruising the pits once we get our pit passes.
So be looking forward to meeting everyone going. If you can't get there at 9 am, how about a second meeting time like 11:30 or noon.
Let me know what you all think.
Posted by: Jh85---------------------
I convinced my dad to leave around 7.......I'll meet you guys by the annoucer's stand around 9:00

Think we should still bring those folding chairs, or will there be open spots to sit and watch since we're getting there earlier?
I can't wait
Scooter, your name is Dan Right?
Aaron
Rick
Kieth
Dan?
Marc
?
I can remember that
Posted by: scooter1130---------------------
I don't know if I will make it by 9:00, I would have to leave home around 6:00 to make that, but I will meet around 11:30....and yes, my name is Dan

Jh,
I would suggest bringing chairs unless you want to sit on the ground.
Posted by: MikeKX250---------------------
So you can bring folding chairs in with no problem? How about small coolers? Cameras? I was planning on getting there by 7am, will I be able to get a pit pass then?
Posted by: KDX220rm---------------------
Jh,
You left off Pit_monkey (Charlie) and also I am hoping Keith makes it too.
Posted by: MX823---------------------
here is the drill.............small coolers yes, all coolers will be checked! no alcohol allowed to be brought in. Chairs are fine, ez ups are prob not a good idea!
Bring a back pack, a trashbag to make a poncho , sun block, [they do check bags sometimes too so no sneaking alco in there]
Cool place to check out.............the frog pond turn ! can't see the track but still worth spending 10 minutes or so there!
cameras are ok

:o Sorry Charlie
MX823?
Check http://www.ofoto.com/BrowsePhotos.j...28701448103out.
Digital cameras aren't the best for action shots
I had a nice pic of Ricky coming in the first turn right before the tabletop jump, some goober stood up and messed me up:whiner:
I think I'm going to bring my new (new to me :D ) Canon 35mm, hopefully I can get some better shots by being there earlier too.

hey im charlie, i will be going up at the same time as rick. i plan on getting there for 8-830 so i can get a pit pass. last yr i didnt bring much since i didnt want to carry anything. you can always go to your car and its not worth bringing chairs since your just going to be moving aroudn the whole time. watching the starts from the launch pad and then going to different parts of the track. plus you will be standing most of the time anyway because everyone around you is doing the same. i say bring money and yourself. thats all you need. im figuring around 60 for the day
75 if i want a t-shirt. :silly: oh and i almost forgot a camera and a sharpy are must haves at the races...if you meet anyone you want an autograph and a pic right?!

See ya all Sunday at the RACES.
Heading out of KC at 2:55 and arriving Farmington, CT at 8:30 pm.
Looking forward to meeting the great Pit_monkey on Saturday and the rest of you DRN'ers on Sunday.
Woohoo!
Rick
Posted by: MikeKX250---------------------
So you can go back out to your car as many times as you want? Are you sure about that?
Posted by: Pit_Monkey---------------------
yea they just give you a wrist band. im pretty sure, last year i didnt see a sign that said no re entry so i believe you can go in and out as you please.
Posted by: Papakeith---------------------
Guess who just got a kitchen/farm pass for tomorrow?!!!!
Posted by: MikeKX250---------------------
What`s the best time to get there tommorow?
Posted by: scooter1130---------------------
The earlier the better, if you want to get a pit pass, they open the pits from 9:00-12:00 I thik the pit passes are $10. And a few guys are going to try and meet by the announcers tower at 9:00, but I don't think I will make it by then, I should be there aroud 10:00
